address on business cards

would you say it's unprofessional or unhelpful not to have your address on your business cards?

Personally, I wouldn't mind. Especially if it's a freelance or small operation. I mean, if you're working from home, would you really want "Yadda yadda Apt. 2B" on there (or something that's obviously a residence and not a place of business)? That wouldn't look professional - even if that impression is totally misguided. If you're a freelancer who rents office space, then why not?

It's hard to say, really. I've seen a couple with no street address - just an email, phone, website, fax.

I guess if you're expecting people to come to your office (or home) to meet you and discuss whatever business they have to discuss, then it'd be silly not to put it on there.

I liked Daniel Oceans business cards from Oceans 11 - Just the name - that way you can give them what info you want.

Can't be arsed with joys of typsetting addresses eh? you moving soon or something.

I'd go with what the others said, depends on how you operate. If you only ever freelance at agencies, or meet your clients at their place of business rather than your's, then I don't think it could be described as unhelpful.

A business address always gives you that extra edge if you can include it, but I'm not sure it's absence makes you seem unprofessional. If you're small it may just make you appear to be the size you are and make it difficult to start blagging and pretend you're an entire agency. Which I've always thought was pointless anyway - therein lies the road to rack and ruin.
