You might wanna get a 'proper' domain name while you're at it.... is the uni.cc domain connected with the college ?? Spend a tenner and get a com or a co.uk - it's easier for people to remember them. You may know this already (so forgive me) but you will need to be familiar with registering domains, ftp and site management - most people won't be happy with just a CD of files to sort out themselves.... When I was training - they threw loads of software at us - but i still left without any knowledge of what to do with it all once you had built a site !! Daft, really..... And you might wanna put the word 'from' before your prices.... will my logo still be £20 if i keep telling you it's not right ?? If you spend 3 days on it in order to make me happy you'd be well out of pocket... That's enough of my rant..... Good luck. PS - The initials MW are a godsend in terms of designing a logo aren't they ?? fuck signatures

Why not? I agree with Weldo. Get a host that will allow multiple domain hosting and you can make more money. Alternativley fork out for a reseller and handle as many clients accounts as you like (for about £30/month). Not offering the complete package limits your scope to get business leads. |

Surely the advertising forum is for advertising though - not site feedback. I would have posted in the showcase forum if I was looking for critique or advice. I simply read the forum descriptions and posted (in my opinion) in the correct place for advertising. Perhaps you need to read the descriptions more closely? I'm sorry you all got so confused. But I wasn't asking for pointers. If I was, I would have posted this in the showcase forum. This is the advertising forum. Learn to read! |

Exactly ! ! !. When I joined this site, I accidentally posted the same post I made here in the employment section. I was then bombarded with posts and PMs from members saying "oooh you shouldn't post here, you need to post in the advertising forum if you want to advertise". I then came over here and posted exactly the same thing (in the correct place). The original post I made in the employment forum was deleted by the mods. I only posted on this site to advertise my website - I was not looking for comments or advice. If I wanted comments or advice, I would have posted in the showcase forum where people are asked to give comments and advice. I did not want comments or advice. I wanted to advertise so I posted in the advertising forum where people are requested to advertise. When I accidentally posted in the wrong place, I was slated for not abiding to the forum's rules. Now that I have posted in the right place, everyone else is posting in the wrong place. You all need to sort out your heads and stop over-reacting with foul mouthed insults, abouse and swearing. I apologise for posting in the wrong place initially but not for posting in the right place. I hope by making you all look absolutely stupid I am giving you a taste of your own medicine like when you all had a go at me for posting in the wrong place. You lot need to sort your heads out. Load 'a nutters. |
