The heading of this forum is Advertising...and the description is...Post your websites, special offers etc in here.
I posted the offer on the 16th, not the 17th.

She's right fellas. That's what this area is for.

Though, in future Kathy it might be worth posting the offer a bit more ahead of the deadline so that we in the UK (who were already in the 17th when you posted) can clearly take advantage of the full offer.

The site's time stamp (which marked the post as being made on the 17th) is oriented towards its UK ownership. It would be prudent to bear that in mind next time.

Still, thanks for posting the offer.

(but it doesn't say 'copy & paste your advertising blurb here')
You are welcome to prove me wrong - but I'd dare to generalise and say that you only registered with the dt community to advertise your services... very unlikely that you will participate, in any other discussions that are not to do with your own advertising thread.
There's been one exception so far (Northwind)
But yes, this is the 'advertising' section...

My comment was based on the fact that the posting resembles 90% of the meaningless spam that clutters up my mail box. So I, for one, read it as spam.

How about taking a more personal approach next time, maybe introduce yourself, tell us what you do etc etc before diving in to the hard sell.

By all means advertise your business but if you expect to get results then tailor your sales pitch to the intended audience.

yup, the only thing that's DRY about dt is the humour.

Good post Tomson, a lot of advertisers cut & paste the same thing on various forums and people can tell right away, which is the reason these posts sometimes get people's backs up.

Sometimes ???

That's not the way it normally looks in here

But the introduction thing Does sound like a mighty fine idea, we might even be lured in by the pitch if we like them.
