Challenge Me... Please!

Howdy! I am an experienced developer/designer/marketing consultant looking for a new web site challenge. Ideally, I'd be looking for a single project or client in need of unique and original tools to set the site/service apart. Technically speaking, my expertise is in PHP, MySQL, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Photoshop, Acrobat and to a lesser degree home-office VB for Microsoft applications.

I specialize in sites that connect the visitor to the service on a tangible level. This comes from my experience as a businessman first. I founded an apparel company, Old Army Supply Co., out of my dorm room and needed a web site while I was still in school to get my products out the door. My target market (myself included) was and remains reluctant to shop online but through innovative features and a down-to-earth approach, I was able to make my service imitate what us neanderthals call "the real world" and make my service a hit with the Texas A&M audience.

I have just come off of a project geared to a similar audience for B. Weaver Apiaries, America's most notable and accomplished bee-keeping family. They already had a customer base of 40,000 worldwide, many of whom had already expressed hesitancy to shop online. Their site is in its screening phase and so far has been a tremendous hit. In the process of reengineering the osCommerce system, I developed 6 unique features soon to become osCommerce Contributions.

If you (or someone you know) is in need of development along these lines, or are just interested in module-style development for your service, I'd love to help. You can see some more examples of my work and philosophy at dion.oaei.com. For some entertaining reading (mostly business-oriented) you might like Food for Thought. You can send me your inquiries from my site, with a Private Message here, or thru email at dion at oaei dot com. Whatever your motivation for reading this message, I hope I can be of some help.
