i had the mis-fortune of working on a windows 2003 server last week and it sucked like a 6 year old on a macdonald's milkshake. it is slow, works only 2 out of 3 times for ftp transfer and whilst browsing on the server, i suddenly came up with a list of all clients being hosted on that server, within one of my own sub-directories. wtf?!

it also managed to allow my firewall (router) to block access to the server's ip address for what reason i'll never know, which then would not allow me to see the server by ftp or even through my browser.

imho, the only reason for going on a ms server is if you're banging out serious asp.net shit. and lets face, anyone? anyone? beuller?

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with Windows 2003 Server. Thankfully i have never experienced such problems in the past.
Without starting a ' windows vs linux ' argument on here plz just bare in mind that a badly setup windows server is bad, just like a badly setup linux one is...

Regards
