Stee-rike One!

Good shooting there, mate. You seem to have hit every section of the forum *apart from* the right one.

(1 copy moved to advertising. Rest trashed.)

Welcome

[RANT]
WHY do folks come here peddling services we already have the means and/or the skill for?

IMHO (™ B.P.) I thought the advertising section in a forum called DESIGNERStalk would be reserved for...say...peddling programs, other software, etc. that would make our lives easier/better as designers and technical types. But that's just me, and I could be wrong (© Tyler Durden).

And is it me, or is there a bit of content missing (?):

http://www.minyo.biz/

So, according to the site, you are nothing, you do nothing, and you've done nothing?

[/RANT]

Sorry to everyone else for the rant, but when you start out here by spamming...you deserve a good kick in the arse. I got here today and this guy and the howell photo guy had gone off all over the forum...

Did i actually give you that URL? I never said that there was any content on it.

I said to contact an email address, you just presumed that the website had content on it. I never said this. So before you start having a go at the company I suggest you read posts on here more carefully and stop making presumptions.

I wasn't having a go...you could have read that as well. I was simply stating that pushing what you're advertising HERE is like trying to sell sand at the beach.

And, btw, when you visit your linked up press release:

I do understand where you are coming from. But I only represent the company and I have no control over the content on it. Also I did not write the press release. The person you need to express your concern to can be found at the email address sales@minyo.biz.

I was only asked to advertise the company. I only had a brief look, not knowing about the domain name function. My boss assures me that the website will soon be having more and more content added. So keep checking it out.

Tell your boss/client that marketing is about perception.
When a marketing company has a website that makes as bad an impression as the (incomplete) minyo.biz site, then it's not hard to expect that potential clients will be looking elsewhere and getting their marketing and branding services from a company that is visibly ready to do business.
Why should anyone else take minyo's marketing and branding services seriously when they clearly can't even get their own sh*t together?

Hello DesignersTalk users,

Seeing some really bad feeds about this, I had to do something about it.

To make this even more clear, please allow me to present myself. I'm Lorand Minyo, owner of Minyo Biz.

As we just went international, we created a new brand, Minyo Biz, and as trying to get into business, I "hired" some sales reps.

Never thinking that it would be come down to spamming and other similar activities, I entrusted some of these guys with the company's name.

Altough is my fault for doing this, I wish to make it clear that I'm not endorsing or accept the methods used by some of the sales reps.

Once again, please accept my appologies for the methods used by "blazedesigns".

am i the only one who thinks he's a cunt for insulting his employees in front of everyone? reminds me of a trip to geneva where the manager started to scream at our waitress for dropping a glass of red wine. it made me very upset. maby its because i'm a fake gucci socialist.

oh an lorandm, how where they supposed to promote the company name? i'm guessing getting a hannah temporary tatoo on their forehead and wearing enblazoned t-shirts to school.

if not, please feel free to use these ideas in future maketing campaings.

i don't see lorandm in your terms, jihef
I think s/he is making the best of a bad situation and being quite upfront about things.
apologising for the behaviour of those acting on our behalf is more than most of us would do.

please try to save the attitude for those more likely to be impressed by it.
it's getting a bit tired.

But why is lorandum hiring kids as sales reps and unleashing them on to the interweb in the first place? Hmmm?

Odd.

Don't know why s/he didn't do more to check out the propriety and credibility of blazedesigns before commissioning them, but given how things have turned out, I don't imagine it's a mistake s/he's likely to make again.

That said, it doesn't seem that lorandum/minyoboz is really ready to do business themselves yet.
Imho™, there are a few key elements to their offer/company that need putting into place before going on a self-promotion spree.

…sshhhttop. It's not ready yet.

just a guess but maybe started as a bit of spam along the lines of:

Have your own computer? Wanna earn money from home? Become a domain name sales rep!

I'd like just to make this clear for everyone, as I'm in no mood for fast and cinical replies, stating various smart ideas.

I applogised for a mistake, I did it because of you, the users that had the misfortune to be spammed or whatever, not because I was desperate for my company's name.

You should look at this which way you please.
