Quality, Affordable Reseller Hosting

Hi Everyone! I am excited to announce that I have recently begun offering reseller hosting plans at Juniper Avenue. Here are some details:

Diskspace: 8000 MB
Bandwidth: 750,000 MB
Websites: 25
Email Accounts: 500
Price: $49.95 month

Includes:
ASP.NET 1.1, ASP.NET 2.0, PHP 4, PHP 5, PERL, MySQL, SQL Server, and more...

I am not offering this on my site so please contact me. The reason for this is I want to develop a strong, close relationship with my resellers so I may support you better and to not dilute the quality of our hosting services.

I am also flexible, so if you have special needs or have a any suggestions please let me know -- I'm sure we can work something out. I'm always open to barters and trades as well, full and partial.

Please take a look at my site: juniperavenue.com

Thank you, I wish you good luck in your endeavors and I look forward to working with you all.

And that's affordable compared to??? I get 40 GB Storage / 500 GB Bandwidth and unlimited sites for less than $40. Also. I am very weary of a template based hosting site like that as there are so many just like it.

Good luck though. Hosting is a good business to be in. Do you have your own servers of just purchase space elsewhere?

I realize there are better prices out there but, frankly, I'm tired of competing on price. In the 3 and a half years we've been in the business we've tried several approaches to gaining new customers and, while low prices worked, we feel our continued pursuit of quality and customer satisfaction has been our greatest ally. We vow to always maintain fair and competitive prices and I believe these prices are at a comfortable point to permit a reseller to generate a considerable profit while allowing us to maintain this pursuit. Also, a bit higher prices help keep fly-by-night hacks and spammers off our servers, leaving reliable, secure server space and bandwidth available for legitimate companies such as yours.

Thank you, as I stated above, we've been in the business for a while but sentiments such as these are always welcome. As far as our equipment is concerned, we own and maintain all of our Dell PowerEdge servers (which are mostly 1850's and 2850's with a few 750's), Dell Backup Libraries, and Cisco routers/switches, nothing is leased or resold. This equipment is housed in a state-of-the-art tier-4 datacenter in downtown Phoenix AZ.

It's probably not even the price so much as the limitations in space and domain names that turned me off. In a reseller I always look for unlimited domains and enough space to support them. I've gone from the super budget companies and I learned my lesson.... as my business has grown so has my hosting needs. Unfortunately I am pretty happy where I am.

As you seem to be able to take the critique with a grain of salt let me also say that the site looks like a template hosting site. I'm not 100% on that, but it looks familiar to just about anything under hosting on any template site. My recommendation would be to update the front end to distinguish yourself from the pack. I'm just personally really against templates in general so my opinion is definitely one sided so take it as that.

Again, good luck. Enjoy the business. My best to you.

Perhaps you're right, I'm going to take some time to think this over a bit, stay tuned.

As far as the template thing is concerned, it did indeed start from a template but we are making some customizations to make it a little less generic (I just kind of liked the style). If it wouldn't be too much to solicit your professional opinion, is there an area you think needs the most work or do you have any suggestions in particular?

Thanks for taking the time to post on this thread, I really appreciate your candidness. Perhaps we may be able to assist each other in the future; one can never have too many business contacts, PM me anytime!

Nobody's overcharging, all of my prices are inline with my major competitors. There are so many hosting companies out there, many of which charge little or nothing for their service. How do you compete? Should I be giving money away with my hosting plans? What about your design business? I can get web design from India for less than $3.00 an hour...so based on that, how much do you overcharge?

At some point we all realize that simply trying to undersell the competetion, especially the "cheapo" ones, is futile and doesn't do ourselves or our customers any good.

Anyway, thanks for keeping my post alive

Yep, it doesnt pay to go for the cheapest host - you get what you pay for.
Even that doesnt work sometimes, Mediatemple have just f**ked up one of my sites for 2 days, lost the database etc - all on what was supposed to be invicible hosting on their grid server plan.
