PixAirline

Greetings folks,

I want to introduce you the following service because it compliments what you do - web and graphic design, animations, etc. It's an image hosting service that is great for anyone who has material to show, portfolio and images to share with colleagues, friends, clients.

It might not be the most popular free image hosting service, and I don't want it to be. I am more interested in running a reliable enterprise.

PixAirline

Since the launch of the service it was advertising-free, so please enjoy without ugly interruptions.

Best of luck,
Artashes

Ok i have something to point out. I could buy a hosting package on godaddy for $3.59 and get 5gb of hard disk, great reliability, free software (which includes various free photo galleries) and then buy a dot com for $1.99.

But, on you package for $4.95 i can only get 100MB and a maximum of 200KB per picture. You seem to have a solid website and the demo shows a good backend but why would i choose your package other the alternatives?

I think if you nned to restructer you're pricing...or am i missing something?

lmclaney, all solid points. Thank you for raising them.

First, I think that if you purchase a domain name and hosting from GoDaddy, you won't see your account survive for a long time if you start using all of their resources (space and bandwidth), simply because no one can sustain good service at prices they charge and resources provided.

Second, you will also need to purchase a script to display your images in a cohesive way, that is if you want your material and photo galleries presented in an organized way.

I do have the clients who find the service worthy to pay a small monthly fee, because most of them are traditional consumers with digital cameras who just need to share pictures between their families. You will find that our pricing is actually below competitive rates for the level of features and service we provide, mixed with no advertising at all.

You can always try out our Free package, and if you like the service, what I can offer you is double the package's resources for the paid plan of your choice.

Best,
Artashes

Well i use godaddy and have 100gb of space - i've only used 1gb and have tons of photographs and other stuff stored on it, bandwidth wise iv only used 178.15 MB of 1000000.00 MB that godaddy gives me (thats 0.02% of my allocated bandwidth). So an average user wont ever have problems with bandwidth or storage.

Godaddy offers quite a few open source applications for photo galleries and content managment that are installed for you upon request.

Dont get me wrong, i think for some people it would be more ideal for them as web hosting can be intimidating for some people. I just believe that there are better alternatives out there and to compete I think you need to offer something more. I think if you could offer more storage fr teh price or offered something extra then it would be a good deal.

Also, if i just wanted to share photo then whats wrong with flickr?

By the way i like the cleaness of your site.

And that is exactly what GoDaddy business model relies on. If everyone started to use 100% of allocated resources, GoDaddy will start losing money very quickly. It is textbook overselling formula. For the price they charge, there is no economical way for them to handle 100% of resources offered to every single client and to sustain good support service level.

I value your feedback, and will take it into consideration. However, we currently serve 300+ accounts, and those choosing the service obviously see the value in the service we provide. As you mentioned, not everyone knows about Flickr or don't find Flickr' offering appealing.

The service is worth exactly what customers are willing to pay for it.

Thank you very much. We tried to make it functional and clean, and nothing else that shouldn't be there.
