The Can

The C.A.N. is a Collaborative Art Novel celebrating illustration. I would love to hear your thoughts regarding project as well as the direction of the plot.

Cheers,
Jeff

I really like the idea, and the stuff so far is really great.

Two things that I had problems with. Firstly, it wasn't so obvious that the GO link would take me to the work, and secondly on some of the pages (not all) the text was somewhat hard to read, due to the small size (even when clicked on the magnifying glass you provide).

yep, id agree with those - hence the reason i asked if there was any pages done yet. The text is fine for me when clicked on with the magnifying glass but it would be nice to be able to read through it without having to do this, would read more like a book then.

2p?

I agree that it would be nice to read the text without an added link. When creating the pages the illustrators have complete freedom. So far they have all decided to have a limited amount of small text at the bottom. I feel obligated to show their work in its complete form. Because I don't know how the next page is going to be formatted or whether it will have paragraphs of text, dialogue ballons, or none at all it would be difficult to have a "text box".

I find your "GO" comments intriguing. I can look at my log file and see the path visitors take through the site. I have always found it interesting that people usually go straight to the story without going to the "about" page, which would be my first stop. I rarely get a visitor that does not "GO". I wonder if it could be a cultural phenomenon.

Thanks for your feedback!

A suggestion for the text is; maybe have it underneath the pictures in html text, I agree with the comment that you should be able to read through like a book, especially when there are more pages in there.

The story is ongoing. I am planning on publishing it about every 24-35 pages. I'm happy to hear you like it.
