Its a shame that photography course require you to buy an SLR as you can teach the same photography principles with a Canon Ax camera. ISO, Aperature, Shutter Speed, can all be set manually. Plus, its a hell of a lot cheaper film wise
But then, its far more satisfying to use an SLR
