Ok, now we all know that the 'back' button is the most commonly used piece of interface bar none and this has been a major problem with flash.
We also know that flash has now addressed a lot of usability issues and provided the means to insert anchors so that we can all build flash with a back button. All well and good.
What I'm wondering is this: is there a way of defeating the back button function across browsers ( or in any specific browser) so that if you, say, call up a flash site that is not built with anchor functionality the back button is simply not highlighted - thus removing the temptation to use it and then inadvertently leave the site you're browsing. I realise this would be a hack but it might prove useful for site builders and users alike
First thoughts are that it might be doable through some JS or CSS inserted in the holding page code but I can't find any technique for doing this.
Any ideas?
