You seem to be talking about loans from independent companies which I wouldn't recommend
most students get theirs from the Student Loans Company, which is owned/run by the Government

In Scotland, the SLC's are the only university-related forms that
may require you to disclose your parents financial information - and even then this is dependent on the type of loan you're applying for (means tested, or non-means tested)
