Mac's will be able to read a pc format CD just fine.
It's PC's that sometimes have trouble reading Mac format CDs.
If it's going to be x-platform and you're burning it on a PC but can't burn as true dual format or custom hybrid format, burn it as a simple PC format (ISO9660) disc and Mac users will be able to access the data, though icon positioning may be lost.
I'm sure there must be some software out there for Windows that can burn as dual-format or hybrid.
