Whoa.

Antichrist was the culmination of everything Manson had to say. It's stacked with layers both musically and lyrically, it's amazing.

After that album he really didn't have a whole lot to say anymore. So Mechanical Animals was his piss take on his superstar status and having fun with the whole media hype. It all went downhill after this.

Holy Wood just plain sucked, Manson trying to be Limp Bizkit. Simple lowbrow music with simple lowbrow lyrics for a simple lowbrow crowd.

Golden Age is him trying to recapture some of the Antichrist times, but without his main songwriter (Twiggy left) and without a great producer (where's Trent when ya need him) it comes off as a watered down weak attempt. There are one or two nice tracks, but the whole thing just proves Manson is passed his prime and should just call it a day.
