I have a tab with the colour values of...

background-color: #814F2D;
border-left: #9F653F;
border- top: #9F653F;
border-right: #5A361F;

If I want to make another tab with the background colour #ff6600, is there a quick and easy way of working out the equivalent hex values for the borders so that each tabs shading matches, or is it just a case of trial and error?
