For personal use it would be fine. Although if you plan to actually run a live website from your home box, it wouldn't be able to handle the connections because the upload speed isn't fast enough. Many datacentres have upload speeds of up to 2Gbps which is much much more than a feeble 1,000Kbps. It's possible to run a website from your home pc, but it's likely to use up all your bandwidth usage and wind you up with a hefty bill.
