I used a Macbook with CS3 for a bit, but found it slowed to a crawl if I was doing much. I finally upgraded to a MBP and I now run a 28" monitor and never get a slow down with photoshop/indesign/illustrator open and running Lightroom (I'm a photographer).

Its not a bad piece of kit though.
