depoends how much copy you have, the block serifs are difficult to read at smaller sizes or longer body lengths.
Id say it would be fine if you were dealing with short lengths of text, "Grafik" carry this off to good effect in their magazine. The headlines are set in avant garde and the copy in lublin graph.
If you have longer stretches of text I would go for a sans sefif but pair it up with a slab from the same family. This way it will give a cohesive appearence as the two fonts have been specifically designed to be paired with each other.
Thesis.ttf is probably a good bet
