I thoroughly recommend the Epson PX-5500 for mainly for high quality photo work. My company bought me one a few days ago. The non-Japanese name is the R2400. Very highly regarded, and almost a standard amongst serious photographers. Not a cheap printer though. Also has 8 ink cartridges (uses Epson's K3 ink technology) so it can be a bit pricey to maintain.
I use a cheapo HP Deskjet for anything that doesn't require the Epson.
