Everyone should read Post Office: A Novel by Charles Bukowski, its a semi autobiographical book on the authors life, its dark, funny and a very easy read.

And if you want to read a book you can start and finish in the same afternoon go for 'Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach' Its brilliant, he's the same guy who wrote Jonathan Livingston Seagull, which yes, is a childs book but its still ace!
