Grab the whole screen with the window in the upper right and then use Automator to crop them all down? Or just set up an Automator script to remove the shadows?
Personally I use Snapz for screen images/movies... it's fairly cheap and gives you tons more options!
I think the free version of Snapz runs for a limited time if you've only got the one batch of screen grabs to do?
