832 cheers. they do degrade properly - they don't affect the display at all - its just that i'd like to include it for ie 5.5+ users (b'cos its there and looks nice for like, 75% of visitors to the site). more importantly i want the css to validate. might have to leave it out.
will let you know what i find out if nothing comes up here.
