Ok so I have a domain in my name. I established a server via MS Office Live basic edition and decided those stupid free templates weren't for me. So I heard from Chris Pirillos blog that Drupal was the thing to use. Now I hear Drupal is for things like MySQL and PHP (however Drupal 7 will be specific PHP if I'm not mistaken).
I downloaded Drupal 6 and quite frankly, I don't know what to do. I have all the files downloaded and in an archive thing (like winzip but it's something else). What do I do? Should I re-install it to a specific root file? Should I extract it from the archive? I'm probably the biggest "noob" on this website when it comes to web design. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I read the faqs and such on Drupal.org but still don't quite grasp the idea of what I'm supposed to do.
They need (if they don't already have) a Drupal for dummies....(Million dollar idea for those of you who have time to write it up and submit it to the company)
