i wouldn't even use 'developer'. honestly your skill set is less than impressive. why would anyone want to hire someone whos 'just starting to learn' php and mysql?
"The four languages I use primarly are XHTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL. I use XHTML and CSS for valid, tableless layouts, which in turn keep the page loading way down for those dial-up users. I Use PHP and MySQL for all the serverside scripts such as the news system you see here, the contact page and a few behind the scenes things that can only be achieved through PHP and MySQL. In the future I will hopefully start serving pages from MySQL databases entirely which should make loading almost instantaneous."
none of that even makes any sense. how does xhtml/css/tableless layouts keep 'loading way down for dial up users'? and loading pages from mysql databases is definitely slower than loading static html files.
