the transitions/tweens are quite slow...have you experimented with diff frame rates? I think it might look a bit sharper if you speeded things up a bit.
I think the strong colours and theme makes this site stand out, without being too gimmicky.

I'll give it a go speeding up my transitions, I am running at 25fps and could easily speed them up. I'll give it a go.
In regards to the menu font I think you may be right, I am using a heavy weight of helvetica I'll try and use somehting lighter, and see how I get on.
