AFAIK Graphire is more or less the same as Bamboo except it's wireless (bluetooth).

Personally I'd save up and get an Intuos 3. It's worth it if you're going to use it a lot. Plus, as I seem to have said in at least half a dozen threads now, you get pen tilt support in Intuos which Bamboo and Graphire don't have.
