I don't intend getting into a discussion about something which should be pretty plain to someone as intelligent as yourself, PGO, but saying "The President has immense influence - often regarded as the single most powerful person in the world. One word: Iraq" displays a certain naiveté on your behalf. Do you seriously believe the Iraq war is the sole decision of one ignorant bible-basher whom no other party could deny?
But if you personally feel more comfortable with the myth of "most powerful person in the world", don't let me dissuade you. It makes not one iota of difference.
