I tried opening it with Terminal as it said but I couldn't locate the
http://&@.google.com/… string.
Tried it with BBEdit too and was able to locate that string somewhere beyond the reach of BBEdit's scrollbars.
Don't have the confidence to mess around with app code unless it's all there infront of me.

Not quite the same thing.
If a non-UK site mentions the UK along with my search terms then that'll be returned in the SERPs too.
It is better than not specifying +UK, but still doesn't differentiate to the same degree that the Google UK radio button does.
