I'd agreed the majority of the major dance labels (mos, gc, cream etc) have all gone to shit and the only stuff that gets mainstream radio airplay is mindless tat, but there is still plenty of great new trance being produced, you just have to search for it a bit more.
f.ex. The Anjunabeats label has been producing top-draw stuff for a good few years now.
