If you can, raise your monitor up and then angle it very slightly downwards - it'll cut out a lot of the direct reflections from ceiling lights.

If you have a crt pc style monitor they usually sit low on the desk and so need to be angled upwards slightly causing major reflections - Apple studio displays (amongst others) suffer less as they have raised stands.
