Krazy Kel stick with it.

It has a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it you will have the ability to do quite abit with just the modules they already have in play if you aren't up for building your own.

So far I have made roughly4 drupal sites..in the middle of transforming one of them, but anyways I'm very glad I didn't give up with the system. It took be about 3 days to get the hang of things and I'm still learning more about it, should have probably gotten a book, but so far I'm doing ok on my own.

Basically stick with it and you will be amazed by the possibilities. here's my latest drupal site, still working on it.
