Apache is pre-installed with OS X and is very, very easy to configure. IIS doesn't exist for Mac OS and was always a pain on Windows anyway.
Not being able to find things is a good thing - you really don't need to touch anything.....
I made the switch 12 months ago and my system hasn't crashed, nor have I had a problem in all that time. I've also only shut it down twice.....
