Never thought I'd see someone who was so passionate about ColdFusion. The web's bastard stepchild.

Honestly, and this isn't me saying it, most professional programmers I know think CF is a joke - a pseudo programming language that doesn't even look like a programming language.

While you probably can find affordable CF hosting, proprietary solutions won't be able to beat open source alternatives anytime soon. So any server based on FOSS is going to be cheaper by default.

I would venture to say that if someone is looking to be marketable, they move into ASP/.NET, Ruby/RoR, PHP, or JSP. Any of our more programming-oriented friends want to back me up on that?

I mean, for every CF job I see advertised, I probably see 100 for the big languages.
