I only use windows for HL2 and 3dsmax. Parallels doesn't support 3d hardware so boot-camp is the only way to go on the iMac. Also running Parallels is a memory hog. The only good thing about it is "slap book"!
I'd definitely install it on a macbook Black. With Sinclair spectrum keyboard stickers.
