Playful sells, you should get manco to post here explaining what he feels is wrong with his site
It's an experience and I think that counts for something in this sea of clone blogs. Just look at
www.furifuri.com for example. Portfolio websites don't really conduce freelance business but if there is an experience to be had at least they are memorable.
The work you did on his previous site is ALIVE! The new one looks DEAD
