The site and particularly the work looks good overall.
I agree with Narates comments. The layout on the lower half of the site seems to loose structure, there's not real visual alignment with anything. Regarding the image, the feather (or quill) with flames trailing behind it implies that you can write really fast. Nice image nonetheless.
