I just found the video to look too much like it was done by someone totally new to direction, by which I mean that it lacked visual ideas.
The quick cuts do work with the track, but then locking the direction concept and shot durations so rigidly to that kind of rapid, cut-up music isn't exactly thinking outside the box.

I feel that more imagination went into the other vids I mentioned and went a bit further than simply having a fat, bald bloke chasing a young girl and a dog around a stylistically non-descript building with some token trendwhore 'pooter graphics thrown in for good measure.
A feeble attempt at a Manga reference that simply doesn't work conceptually or visually, imho.

That being said, I'm no major fan of Squarepusher either.
I feel the D'n'B* ruined some good freeform jazz at the time and only makes their music sound more dated now.
Just albums I picked up along the way.
...though they do have their moments (re: Tundra)


Perhaps Cunningham works best when he's working with musicians that have their own independance and 'eccentricities'.
