Like everyone I take great pleasure at looking at our competitors sites via their adverts, and in return I suspect this is how most of our own ad budget gets drained as well.

I realized how much I was costing other designers by clicking their ads when we ran our own ad campaign. Now I copy the URL and past it into the address bar. This seems like the humane thing to do, unless Google has some bizarre tracking ability to recognize this, I would not be suprised.
