Sorry, that just sounds pretentious. Nice shots, though. I really like that skyscraper. I think you should drop the text captions and let the images speak for themselves. As they are, they remind me of those inspirational posters - "Hang in there!" - that you see in dentists' offices.
I'm jealous of you living in (or near) NYC. I recently had to leave Philly for Oklahoma.
I feel like I'm missing out on so much.
