i went to the adobe show at imax a couple of days ago and did a demonstration of Encore on the imax screen. it was a very impressive bit of kit. it uses the photoshop engine so you have have both programs running simultaneously and just drop psds into encore, rather than doing everything as tiffs as u would with maestro, etc.
also has benefits such as photoshop 7's text tool, etc. beats any other dvd authoring software i've seen so far. price isn't too unreasonable either.
